What our customers say
Nothing speaks louder than the experiences of our customers.
Nothing speaks louder than the experiences of our customers. Businesses and organizations across the region trust Lombardo Lettering for professional vehicle decals, lettering, and signage. Here are some of the kind words shared by clients who have worked with us.
What customers actually mention
After thirty years the compliments fall into the same few categories, and none of them are surprising. The first is time. Contractors tell us repeatedly that not losing a truck for two days is worth more than any discount a drop-off shop could offer, because a van sitting in somebody else’s lot is a van not generating revenue. When we letter three trucks in a single morning at a customer’s yard, that is three days of downtime that never happened.
The second is how the work holds up. Customers who came to us after a bad experience elsewhere usually describe the same failure: lettering that looked fine for a season, then faded, cracked or started peeling at the corners. That is almost always cheap calendared vinyl. Premium cast film from Avery, 3M or Oraflow costs a little more up front and then behaves for seven or more years, which is why we do not stock the alternative.
The third is the proof. Seeing the layout on a picture of your own truck before anything is cut removes the part of the process that makes people nervous. Nobody has to imagine how it will look, and nobody discovers on installation day that the logo lands on a door handle or that the phone number is too small to read from another lane.
The fourth comes up years later, at trade-in or lease return: graphics that come off cleanly, with no baked-on adhesive and no ghost outline in the paint. Fleet managers care about this more than anyone, because it is the difference between a clean return and a deduction.
How to judge a lettering shop before you hire one
Ask four questions and you will learn most of what matters. Do you come to me, or do I bring the truck to you? What film are you using, and is it cast or calendared? Will I see a proof on my actual vehicle before you cut? And what happens when I want this removed in five years? A shop that answers those clearly is a shop that has done the work long enough to have opinions about it.
One more worth asking: will the truck I buy in three years match the ones you are lettering today? If the answer involves starting the design over, the fleet will drift out of alignment. We store a documented spec — layouts, colors, letter heights and placement — precisely so vehicle number nine looks like vehicle number one.
Leave us a review
If we lettered your truck, wrapped your van or built your sign, a review helps other New Jersey business owners find us. Google and Facebook reviews carry the most weight, and it takes about two minutes. Mentioning your town and the vehicle you had done is genuinely useful to the next person reading it, because a plumber in Bergen County wants to know we work in Bergen County.
The screenshots above are messages and posts customers sent us directly over the years. We are in the process of collecting named, written reviews to publish here alongside them — if you have worked with us and are willing to be quoted, call the shop and we will make it easy.
