Preparing a service van for lettering in Springfield
The bond starts with the panel, not the squeegee. Before a Springfield service van is lettered, the application areas need to be sound, dry and free of wax, silicone, road film and failing paint; vinyl cannot correct a weak surface underneath it.
Sliding doors, rear doors and side panels are inspected around handles, tracks, windows and panel recesses. Those are the places where contamination collects and where a shortcut in cleaning shows first as a lifted edge.
A normal wash is useful but not sufficient. Waxed wash products can leave a residue, so final preparation uses products intended for graphic application and fresh towels rather than whatever is already in the vehicle-cleaning cabinet.
Peeling clear coat, fresh bodywork and rust need a decision before the Springfield appointment. We can work around unsuitable areas, but covering them hides the warning without improving adhesion.
Springfield is served from Lombardo Lettering’s Chester base as part of Union County, with this page focused specifically on surface preparation for a service van; the Union County service page explains the wider coverage area.
